Reflexology – Prostatitis and Hyperplasia – Research

In addition to my last post the following.. In ‘Medical Applications of Reflexology – Findings in Research about Safety, Efficacy, Mechanism of Action and Cost-Effectiveness of Reflexology’, Kevin and Barbara Kunz, 1999.

187 cases of Prostatitis and Hyperplasia were tested.

66 reproted that it was signifcantly effective, which means that all symptoms disappeared completely and did not come back for 3 – 6 months.

108 said it was effective which means that the symptoms and signs disappeared or basically disappeared for 3-6 mopnths but came back to a lesser degree with marked improvement.

13 noticed no effect which means no improvement or that the disease recurred after 3 months.

Here one can find a variety of testimonials I got from my clients.

Prostatitis and Hyperplasia – Reflexology

Looking at the article ‘A healthy prostate is vital” in THE STAR, Nanaimo, from February 24th 2012 I wonder about the following …

Could it be that older men have prostate problems because theu are not sexually as active as  in younger years and often have also jobs where they sit all day long?  Which means the circulation in the whole body is not as it should be.

Years ago I read a build-up of puntrified stoll in the colon may seep through the intestinal wall and have negative effects on the prostate.

Since Reflexology sessions stimulate the Chi-flow and lymph flow in every part of our body and also balance our emotions I really wonder whether a sequence of ten Reflexology sessions per year would not help to prevent prostate problems.

I remember a client who came because of hip and hearing  problems. He asked me after several sessions:
“Does Reflexology also help with the prostate?”
“Yes … why?”
“I am now sleeping through the night and before I was more in the bathroom than in bed”

His case really showed how much can be accomplished when a client realizes  that a problem which took a long long  time to manifest needs more than a few sessions to be relieved.

Tomorrow I’ll write about the research done with 187 men.

Always optimistic

Breast Cancer – Constipation – Reflexology

This is a strange combination … you might ask … where is the link?

The link was a TV show on Shaw-Cable, Vancouver Island, Canada. Years ago they had a health-show at which various health practitioners explained their work. I was one of them, but this is not the point of this post.

At another show was an Iridologist  who explained also that every part of our body has a reflex-area in the colon.

As Iridology is based on the fact that every part of the body is connected to  an area in  our iris.

Reflexology is based on the fact that every part of the body has a reflex-area in the feet, hands, and ears.

Back to the colon. The reflex-area for the breasts is in the ascending colon, that is the part that goes form the right groin up to the rib-cage and then the colon goes to the left and down.

The important part of his talk was that he had not seen one woman with breast cancer who did not have a plugged up ascending colon … this means that old putrified fecal matter was attached to the colon wall where the reflex-area for the breasts is.

Nobody will know whether this was the only reason of the breast cancer, it can also be that the women had been very stressed in the past, which caused constipation and also an acidic body … and cancer loves acidic bodies.

Reflexology is in my opinion with all the training I have  the best alternative health modality to get the colon going when it is done for a while on a regular basis. It activates the colon and all body functions, reduces stress, balances our emotions, and improves sleep. It is a great modality to prevent all kinds of health problems.

Antidepressant Linked to Growth and Birth Issues – Reflexology

In a recent issue of the Nanaimo Daily News I read the following:

‘Babies born to mothers who took antidepressants while they were pregnant has slightly slower head growth and were more likely to be born early, in a new study from the Netherlands. Still that doesn’t prove that drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), caused changes in the babies’ development – or that those differences would end up having long term effects.’

Because I could not find the Chinese research about Reflexology and various health problems  I looked in one of my Reflexology books, Reflexology The Definitive Practitioner’s Manual’ from Beryl Crane, from the UK under Depression… and sure enough there was a case how a woman with depression had benefitted from Reflexology Sessions.

There are so many alternative modalities beside the ones I practice that are helpful with so many health problems … why are people not trying them out? Why? To be honest, I am unable understand this.

Acupressure Research

This might be interesting for the ones who are not so sure whether Acupressure is effective.

I just got from the Canadian Acupressure College the following link  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

When you have problems getting the connection then put www.pubmed.gov in the addressbar … when the website comes up put in the search section  acupressure … there are 602 submissions.

In acupunture the needle is the antenna for the energy and in Acupressure (JinShinDo Acupressure) the person is the antenna.

Tomorrow I will post why somebody with headaches did not get help with Acupuncture.
