Alzheimer’s or Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)?

The article  New Criteria Could Change Who Is Diagnosed With Alzheimer’s by Jennifer Goodwin, points out that there is now a difference made between Alzheimer’s and  Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

People with MCI have marked, but mild, memory problems but function otherwise  normally. This includes problems doing daily activities, cooking safely,  driving without getting disoriented, remembering to pay bills and paying the proper amount.

Years ago I had in Victoria  a client who had on her toes signs that something was not right with the brain. I was very concerned and told her to go regularly to a Reflexologist. I lived too far away amd gave her the address of a very good one in Victoria (she was one of my teachers). My friend went only 5 times and a few years later her brain capacity deteriorated dramatically. She died a few years ago. I always wonder whether regular Reflexology sessions would have helped her.

The feet are like a map of our body. Every part of the body has a reflex area … also the brain. By stimulating these areas the body’s selfhealing process is activated.

How to Handle Cravings – Sweet – Savory?

It is no fun to have cravings because often one gains weight. We kind of know that. It is also expensive … sweets and chips cost money.

So, why do we have cravings? Observing my own behaviour and what I changed in my life I found out the following:

Our body is craving sweets

  1. when it is deficient of certain nutrients,
  2. when we are  tired,
  3. sometimes when we are  deficient of water,
  4. or when we have emotional problems,
  5. or the body has a yeast infection, which might be caused by antibiotics,

The solution is

  • to sleep enough,
  • to eat organic food,
  • to cook from scratch,
  • to STOP eating PROCESSED Food
  • to drink enough water,
  • to go for walks in nature and
  • regarding the emotional issues one might need to get help.

Yes organic food is more expensive, but one needs less because it contains more nutrients.

We have to cook from scratch, because processed food is dead food and gives us dead energy (that means NO ENERGY). It also contains a lot of sugar and all kinds of additives. Most do not have to be listed.

Food that is alive grows in our gardens, is available on a Farmer’s Market or the Supermarket

Yes it takes time, but it is better to turn the TV off and to cook so that one eats healthy and stays healthy. The TV sucks also energy from us, as computers do too.

Since I am eating healthy I can look ‘cold blooded’ at chocolate bars and chips … and when I eat something then it is one or two pieces …. before it was the whole bar or the whole bag of Marshmallows. Therefore I know what I am talking about.

Luckily I never gained weight because I like to move.

Hope this helps. Oh, I forgot … I eat nearly always only organic meat, without antibiotics.

Athletes Foot Cure ?

As a certified Reflexologist I was of course interested in the cause and cure of Athletes Foot. Then I became a certified JinShinDo Practitioner and realized that Athletes Foot is caused by an imbalance in one of the six organ meridians that end in the toes. The are called organ meridians because the are connected to Bladder, Spleen/Pancreas, Gallbladder, Liver, Kidneys

This means the location of the fungus is very important because it indicates which meridian needs to be balanced and which organ might be in trouble and needs to be checked by a physician.

The Athletes Foot is a sign of the body that something is not right and needs to be looked after. To use an anti-fungus cream removes only the symptom and the body is then showing later in another way that something is wrong.

Acupuncture and Acupressure may be of great help  when also the emotion is addressed that is related to that meridian.

Did you ever notice that the fungus is often only on one foot and only between two toes? Is that not strange because everybody is saying it is so infectious?  Yes, sometimes all toes have Athletes Foot …. when that is the case one really needs a physician. It indicates a very acidic body with a systemic problem. That means the whole body is out of balance.

Reconnective Healing® is balancing on the physical level  all of our body systems and balances us additional also on an emotional, mental, and spiritual level. This is important to know because the original cause of an imbalance is in most cases emotional, mental or spiritual stress.

Please know that harmless problems like for example Athletes Foot have to be taken seriously.

Energy Blockages – Energy Cysts – Their Release

We often wonder why we have a sore shoulder, knee pain, headaches or other problems. The reason is an energy blockage. The Chi-flow in the Meridian that goes through this area is not balanced and some cells cannot communicate with each other. When nothing is done the problem can be one day quite serious.

This can be caused by physical trauma, wrong posture but also by emotional trauma. This trauma could have happened recently but often it happened many many years ago, sometimes 30 years or more.

During John Upledger’s  CranioSacral Therapy and  Somato Emotional Release seminars in the USA I learned how to release Energy Cysts.

The release often required numerous sessions … therefore I am thrilled to be able to balance Chakras ,the energy flow in the meridians and in the tissue, with Reconnective Healing®  in a much easier and faster way. Generally up to 3 sessions are necessary.

You’ll find much more information and also testimonials on the sites below.

Help for Trapped Emotions & Heart Walls

To remove Trapped Emotions and Heart Walls  become more and more important for people. There is help!

As a Jin Shin Do Practitioner I know that injuries, every excessive emotion  or emotional trauma is causing energy blockages in the body. The location depends of the kind of emotional trauma or the injury. These energy blockages prevent the cells to communicate with each other which causes over time health problems.

Every Organ Meridian is linked to an emotion and therefore the trauma will be ‘trapped’ in the area of the meridian. Easy.

When the issue is about Love then it will  be araund the heart and cause what some call a Heart Wall. I heard that a way to get rid of this wall with a magnetic coller which is true. I have one but never used it for that. Reconnective Healing®  and Jin Shin Do Acupressure address and remove trapped emotionss in a perfect way … and I believe that Reconnective Healing® even achieves more in regard to go to the deepest root cause.

Distant Reconnective Healing® can help people who are far away from any Jin Shin Do Practitioner or Reconnective Healing Practitioner®

As a Jin Shin Do Practitioner I know that injuries, every excessive emotion  or emotional trauma is causing energy blockages in the body.

Does Eating Oatmeal Prevent Osteoporosis?

Yesterday a  friend told me that oats are good to prevent Osteoporisis … and she might be right.

I always thought my mother had  strong bones because she was working hard in her bookbindery until she was about 80 … but. she was also eating daily oatmeal.

Actually also my grandmother, as everybody else in the family was eating oatmeal and had strong bones.
100 g oats contain 70 mg Calcium … put some raisins in, it tastes better
100 g raisins contain 80 mg Calcium
Perhaps it was not only the active life with lots of lifting that caused her bones to be as strong as ‘German Oak’ as the surgeon in Quebec said when she had a hip-replacement.

Guess I will eat more wild oats. It is best to soak them in the evening in almond milk or rice milk and to eat them uncooked the next morning because then they still have all the enzymes.

With all the things cows get I  never use milk.

What Causes Back Pain?

Back Pain is mostly caused by emotional stuff that is not processed.  When the emotional challenge is not processed it settles as pain in certain areas of the back and becomes chronic.

I was always wondering why people with back pain  go for long times regularly to a Chiropractor. Then I studied Jin Sjin Do Acupressure and it became clear.

We have along the back on each side of the spine the points of the 12 orgen-meridians. Every meridian is connected to an emotion and the area of the pain depends of the emotion we have not processed .

Anger – Worry – Fear of Death – Missing Love and Nurtering — Grief – Inability to Let Go.  It is often easy, but most don’t know.

Therefore I love Jin Shin Do Acupressure and even more Reconnective Healing® … because with Reconnective Healing all the underlying reasons are addressed.

Accidents can be of couse also the reason, like falling during childhood on the tailbone, car accidents, falling of a horse, falling backwards on a hard surface and others. I tend to believe that in these cases the Chiropractor is helpful.

A;ways thinking about what you need to know …

The Effects of Stress on the Skin

The psycologist Linda Papadopoulos says there is a link between emotion and epidermis.
What could be the reason? There is a German saying “I am not happy in my skin”. When we are stressed we are not happy and this manifests in all kinds of skin conditions that are caused by stress, mainly Epidermis and Acne.

Most girls and young women are looking for skin products that topically remove the skin problem. That is not the best way because the rootcause of  stress is not addressed. The root cause is constipation and the toxins of the putrified matter in the colon get through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream and to the skin.

We have as organs of elimination of toxins,  kidneys,  colon,  skin and  lungs. Therefore it makes sense that the result of stress can be Akne or Epidermis.

The best way to have a clear skin is to take steps to have at least 2 bowel movements per day.  Exercise, drinking enough water and eating fiber rich food will help.

When one uses creams or antibiotics to have a beautiful skin the toxins stay in the body and will cause over the years other problems. One has to take every skin condition VERY seriously.

Another approach can also be to chose an alternative healing modality like Acupressure, Massage, Reflexology and others. My favourate is Reconnective Healing because a sense of total calmness is what clients notice first.

Difference Between Natural and Synthetic Vitamins

Today  we talked on Pam Edgar’s radioshow on CHLY radio 101.7 FM about “The difference between synthetic and natural vitamins”, according to the book “SUPPLEMENTS EXPOSED, The truth they don’t want you to know about vitamins. minerals, and their effects on your health”. Brian R. Clement, PhD, Director of Hypocrathes Health Institute.

This critical difference is the following. Many years ago I was eating in Germany a fabulous yoghurt, with real pear pieces and various grains. On the label was written that something in the joghurt is ‘right turning’. At that time I was not so much interested in health issues and had the opinion that one just hasd to eat healthy foods to stay healthy. A tually I am still believing that … or better I know it.

In the above mentioned book is written that natural vitamins fromthe plant are ‘right turning’ and that in synthetic vitamins 50% are right turning and 50% are left turning.

The body urilizes the right turning molecules. Geometry is extremely important. One can listen to the whole conversation on http://chly.ca … The podcast button is on the right

Also important, the body sees synthetic vitamins as invaders, reacts accordingly, which means it fights them with leucocytes.

We talked also about Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Vitamin B12,  Vitamin B 3 from fish oil . Also what synthetic vitamins are made from. and how the body reacts to a synthetic vitamin.

In short … either educate yourself about the products you use, or buy the book, or have your own garden. This is a serious issue … your health is at stake.
